We try where possible to minimise the data that we collect about site visitors. We use Google Analytics to collect basic contextual data about site visitors to understand the site traffic patterns.

Job Applications
Where data is sent to us for the purpose of applying for a job with Beam Connectivity, we will:
- Never share it other companies
- Store it in a secure location within the EEA
- Only let staff directly involved in hiring have access to it
- Keep it for 24 months and contact you in relation to appropriate vacancies that we have now, or within that period
Personal data we might hold as part of the job application process might include:

- CV or Resume, if you send it into to us
- Interview notes

Platform Data Privacy
CVaaS or CaaS is a connectivity platform, used by vehicle manufacturers, mobility companies, and manufacturers of fixed industrial and energy assets.
We take our obligations as a Data Processor under GDPR seriously, but if you would like to talk to us generally about data privacy, please email privacy@beamconnectivity.com.
To maximise data privacy of our platform, we commit to:
Deploy an isolated cloud platform per customer.
Deploy in an EU region unless specifically requested. Our default choice is Dublin (EU-WEST-1).
Only collect data as identified for your use cases โ this collection is controlled through granular policy on a per vehicle basis.
Follow industry best practices for data collection and storage, such as encryption at rest and audited, least privilege access.
Conduct AWS Well Architected reviews to ensure we consider all aspects of security and privacy.
Work with customers to perform a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) in line with your own corporate processes.
As a data processor for our clients, we will help get appropriate terms in place with their employees and users.
Welcome scrutiny from customer privacy and security teams.

The platform is built on AWS, but we do leverage some other third party services that will process your data.
Amazon Web Services โ providing user authentication services and hosting for the CVaaS cloud databases.
Google Firebase โ Crash reports and app telemetry.

Mobile Apps
At Beam we use Google Play and Apple TestFlight to privately distribute and test our mobile apps.

Location data โ To provide maps and calculate your nearest EV charging location
Device data such as device id, handset and OS version โ To understand user experience and app performance to improve the app.
Crash data โ To diagnose user issues and improve the app.
